Lots of Fun Close to Home

One of the most beautiful, diverse, and enjoyable parks in Southern California is a short drive from your home. Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park and Raging Waters Theme Park are located in San Dimas, California.

The park covers approximately 2,220 scenic acres, has parking for 4800 vehicles, and offers numerous activities for all ages and interests.

A 250 acre lake, Puddingstone has 5 miles of shoreline, and offers fishing, fast and slow boating, water skiing, sailing, windsurfing, and swimming.

1,223 acres of open space and natural areas of hills and canyons with 14 miles of walking, hiking, jogging, biking, and riding trails.

Picnicking is available throughout the park for families and groups. Family areas, which are equipped with shelters, tables and barbeques, are available on a firstcomefirstserved basis. The four group picnic areas are available by reservation only and can accommodate from 400 to 1,500 people. These areas are equipped with areas for lawn games, a separate serving facility with refrigeration, serving counters, barbecues, and washing facilities.

The equestrian center facilities include horse rentals and boarding, a rope arena, and horseback riding lessons.

Group camping and family tent areas are available at the East Shore RV Park. There are 517 RV sites complete with hookups, swimming pools and spas, a recreation center, volleyball courts and a general store.

At the Puddingstone Hot Tubs facility you can enjoy beautiful views of Puddingstone Lake and the surrounding city lights. Each private tub has a changing room, light and water controls, and a barbecue. The resort is also available for wedding receptions.

Golfing is available at the Mountain Meadow Golf Course. Offering a snack bar, night lighted driving range, and two practice putting greens, the course is regulation, 18 hole, par 72. 6,499 yards, with a 70.2 rating.

A large variety of rentals, which include bikes, electric bikes, jet skis, kayaks, canoes, paddle boats, fishing boats, and poles, are available. Food and beverages are also offered.

In addition to all of these activities, Bonelli Park also hosts many events from races to music festivals throughout the year.

However, if all of this is not enough for your family, you can also enjoy Raging Waters Theme Park which is located within the park. With over 50 acres and 36 slides and attractions, children’s play area, wave pool, a beach, picnic and restaurant facilities, Raging Waters is California’s largest water park.

Originally built as a flood control facility, Puddingstone Dam was built in 1928. The dam created a 250acre lake and the park is named after LA county supervisor Frank G. Bonelli who, in 1959, led an effort to have the county department of parks and recreation take responsibility for the Puddingstone area. Over the years the golf course, boat launching facilities, group and family picnic areas, the swim park, fishing areas, equestrian facilities, the recreational vehicle park, and the hot tubs were added.

The Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park and Raging Waters are located in San Dimas, California, 91773, at the Via Verde exit from the 57 freeway just north of the 10 freeway and south of 210 freeway.
